GRU Deerhaven Renewable

The largest biomass fueled facility in the United States, Deerhaven Renewable Generating Station (DHR) is a 115 MW (gross), 102 MW (net) woody biomass power plant owned by the City of Gainesville, Florida, D/B/A Gainesville Regional Utilities. The plant utilizes a Bubbling Fluidized Bed Boiler that burns sustainably sourced, clean, woody biomass to provide renewable electrical power to the 93,000 customers of Gainesville Regional Utilities. The plant started operations in 2013.
